He needs to hang it up

He'll probably be playing throwing more pick 6's than touchdowns.

From USA Today...

Brett Favre QB New York Jets
Height: 6'2' Weight: 222 DOB: 10/10/1969 Age: 39
Jun. 16, 2009 - 10:13 p.m. ET

The Vikings reportedly have a deadline for a Brett Favre commitment by the start of training camp on July 29.

The Viking's alleged deadlines have been empty all along, but they shouldn't have a problem getting Favre to abide by this one. He's expected to be recovered from his biceps surgery by then, so a contract agreement is the only thing standing in the way of a training camp arrival.

he'll be playing at MN, and we'll have to take our "Uncle Brett" shrine down. My wife and i are both from WI (She's from Green Bay), and we've always been huge packer fans. We got a kick out of watching him play for the Jets last year, at least keeping his consecutive game streak alive.

But if he goes to MN, my wife is gonna be PISSED.

he'll be crying somewhere
Link Posted: 6/16/2009 7:37:10 PM EST
i definitely admired him when he played for the fudge packers, but i think he's just a cry baby now

I love the guy, but please retire.

He simply cannot do it anymore.

Bret is a fucking attention whore. He needs to either retire and drop off the face of the earth or play until some one snaps him in half when he's 80 and still on the field. This "I'm retiring -nope, wait, I'm back" shit has to end. I know he doesn't want to stagnate when he leaves, but Jesus, by now he must have gotten a hobby by now!

Well you know, he has to have at least one of his records unattainable by any other player.

Fuck yes, he will be playing in Minnesota. LOL. And I am going to love to see how pissed off the Cheese heads are going to be to see him in a Vikings uniform. It would be like an extremely well liked player by the fans for Ohio State leaving to go play for Michigan. lol

No shit. Once you have cried at two retirements on national television it is time to stay fucking retired. Really though WTF??

I wish he would retire. Too much drama.

Favre went from being able to bow out as a golden god to the people of green bay, to being a jerry rice/emmitt smith "past the expiration date" player.

He's a great guy, but come on, let's put this one to bed already.

At this point he is way beyond what Jerry or Emmitt did.

Yeah he has set that bar pretty high, the next closest guy has like 22 less than Farve and he played from 1949-1975.

He'll be playing in purple. And I'll be wearing my "Got Favre?" T-shirt and taunting cheeseheads at every opportunity.

Packers suck.

Actually, I'm kinda looking forward to it myself.

I suspect that he finally may be able to hit the green jerseys for a change.

I respect his accomplishments, but also think he's emotionally disturbed at this point.

He's a fucking cry baby. This quote sums him up best:

Brett: This time will be different- I'll go to a team that plays in a dome, so I don't have to deal with the wind, and stuff.

Deanna: Don't you want to spend time at home?

Brett: I know Brad's offense, so I won't have to learn any new big words.

Deanna: Why don't you touch me anymore?

Brett: I can push the records so far, no one will ever get them!

Deanna: Don't you love me anymore?

Brett: I wonder if Wrangler will extend my contract?

Deanna: Have you seen my pills?
