Investigators search for four escapees from two incidents

(Austin-AP) -- Four inmates are on the loose today after breaking out of two facilities in separate incidents in Texas.
The search is on for two Liberty County jail escapees. Investigators believe the pair made their way through an air vent Sunday night.
Authorities identify the escapees as 32-year-old David Jenkins and 26-year-old Nathan Lee Wenzel.
Jenkins was serving time for sexual assault. Wenzel was jailed in a drug case and for unauthoritized use of an automobile. Both men are believed to have relatives in Liberty County.
Officials say Travis County's shortage of jail workers wasn't a factor in a weekend breakout.
That's the word from a Travis County Correctional Complex spokesman as investigators continued to hunt for two escapees charged with murder.
Troy Lee Bailey and Joshua Johannes slipped away from the psychiatric ward Sunday. Authorities say inmates gained access to the roof of a building and went over a barbed-wire-topped fence at the facility in Del Valle.
Law officers found blood on the fence.
