They're still together?  Wow.  They're a good rock band.  Rock seems to be a dying musical style.

Cowboy Junkies, "Open". The mostly acoustic country rockers get a dose of some fuzzed-up, Hendrix-esque guitars. Intermittently pretty darn good.

Electric, Sonic Temple and Love are great albums.  They put out an artsy-fartsy album when they still were the Southern Death Cult that sucked, but at least it was different.  The one with the ram on the cover was a big let-down from Sonic Temple.  Even they thought so and they broke up.  I haven't heard the new one yet.

They are playing near me but the cheapest ticket is $38, too much for some old geezers with no recent hits.  They ain't the Stones, so they shouldn't price their tix like the Stones.

I saw them touring Sonic Temple somewhere around eight years ago.  They were awful.  Bad mix, and Ian's voice was shot.  Lenny Kravitz blew them away.  Maybe they have gotten older and better.

you are entitled to your opinion, even if it is WRONG.[:D][:D][:D]

i liked sonic, i just prefer the boiled down sound of electric.
the first time i heard it was in about '88 waiting for ministry to set up. they played it over and over for 2 1/2 HOURS. i fell in love.
i think it's their best work. still reminds me of castor oil smoke.
major murphy- thanks!
