DL the TM for the M16 from this here very website then go over to http://www.marksmans.com/ and order a copy of "Some of the Answer- Urban Carbine" from Jim Crews. Prolly the best "all around" users manual for the AR. Gabe Suarez's book "The Tactical Rifle" is another good 'un. I am assuming you want training type books cuz there are other ones that cover the history and such. HTH

I have to agree with Upright Citizen, "Some of the Answer- Urban Carbine" from Jim Crews is one of the best training manuals I have read. Highly recommended.

If there is an Army base nearby then surplus stores and gunshows are the best places to get real TMs and FMs. "The Black Rifle" is an excellent piece that covers the history of the AR. If you're looking for that then that would be the book to buy.
