How accurate are these books?

I am reading Black rifle.  It seems to shed a lot of light on the development and implementation of the M16.

Black Rifle is an excellent book.

Another one I'd recommend is The Great Rifle Controversy: Search for the Ultimate Infantry Weapon from World War II Through Vietnam and Beyond by Edward C. Ezell

Excellent info on the political and technological development of the M14 and M16 rifles.  Not many photos, but it's a good read.

I have heard that there were some glaring inaccuracies in "The3 Black Rifle" and the second volume.
