I've read both the above title and his other book entitled 'Sniper'.
Sniper was a decent enough read but it was dry and tedious to me. Good info etc, don't get me wrong, but it was dry.

His book, 'Stalk and Kill. The thrill and danger of the sniper experience.' is a much better read and I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys military non-fiction. This book relies heavily on first hand accounts of sniping action and is also very well documented with footnotes etc. Gilbert is a Brit, but in this book he gives many instances of US Military snipers in action. I found the book to be a lot of fun to read as well as informative.

The book is only 222 pages in paperback. Copyright 1997.

For what it's worth.
