Boo Hoo, and all you can do is piss & moan about it on the Internet.

So, is that all you're good for... whining about how unfair the world is to little old you?

Or are you going to get mad, and do something about it?  Or is there something good on T.V. tonight?

Seriously, they don't care - they've got all the old, fat democrat hunters, WGAS if a few patriots disappear...it makes them look more politically groomed. The best thing you can do is stay with the NRA and make a huge public piss about this, making sure to mention you're an NRA member, and outraged.

Its not a success if you start telling people to write their representatives when they already have.

The mere fact people are on this board talking about the issues signals to me they are more likely to than not to of already contacted their representatives.

First of all, I do what I can to support the NRA and the second amendment by sending them money (probably more then many people here), mailing all the postcards they send to my Senators and Representatives, as well as writing my own letters and e-mails to  elected officials.  I'm also a GOA member, and do all of those same things for them.  Second, I probably won't cancel my membership, but the thought definitely crossed my mind, and they will be getting a phone call soon.  I'm just pissed at the fact that we have to point out the obvious to the NRA, that gun control is bad, and not to cut deals with the anti-gunners, when they're supposed to be using our money and opinions to defend the second amendment.  Do they really believe their membership wants MORE gun control?  Apparently the people running that ship are pretty fucking lame.

Edited for clarity.

Arizona has one of the stronger Right to bear arms inclusions in our state Constitution. I am not all that worried.

Article II, Section 26 of the Arizona State Constitution...

The right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of himself or the state shall not be impaired, but nothing in this section shall be construed as authorizing individuals or corporations to organize, maintain, or employ an armed body of men.

I fail to see how that clause is any stronger than the following...

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

... and we all know how well the 2nd. Amendment has been respected since 1934.

I think you are laboring under a false sense of security geeze, and I would hate to think that it translates into apathy, though that is the impression I'm getting from you.

I dunno about him.

But personally, I started because I find the bargain brand paper purchased with my tax dollars, on which my elected officials' form-letter replies are printed, to be far superior when cleaning my posterior. Since I have a surplus of itchy-scratchy premium printing paper that tends to leave one raw, I write a letter and trade.

I also figure it doesn't hurt to let them know what I think of their traitorous asses.

Let me explain something to you...

The Democrats control both houses of Congress. In light of what happened at VA Tech., it was very likely that some new "gun control" would be passed in its wake.

I don't like it, you don't like it, but please refer again to my first point... The Democrats control both houses of Congress!

Now... if something was going to be passed, I'm glad it is only the funding/strengthening of the NICS, and I'm overjoyed that the NRA (yes, they are "on our side") played a large roll in crafting/wording the legislation!

Would I rather that no new legislation be passed? Yes.

Would I rather see the Republicans, as lame as they are, still in control of the House & Senate? Of course.

Do I think the NRA made the best of a bad situation? Yes I do.

If more gun owners had appreciated the threat & had spoken out in the last two months, would we not be facing this legislation? I give it a very strong maybe, but now we'll never know for sure.

... which brings me back to the theme of this thread!

Are you serious???

The proposed amnesty not only allows, but encourages chain migration, which will ultimately result in 100-200 million illiterate, unskilled, non-English speaking peasants with an antipathy for American history & culture becoming citizens. We are talking about people who were raised in an environment where representative government is a sham, and where rampant political & judicial corruption is the status quo.

Are these people really going to start voting for small government, fiscal conservatives once they get the vote?

Hell... will the vast majority even learn English or consider themselves Americans???

The obvious answer is NO... they will see themselves as proud Mexicans who are rightfully reclaiming their birthright (i.e. the American Southwest). And they are going to milk our economy dry by voting themselves all kinds of new social services!

Goodbye sovereignty & hello NAU!

Goodbye representative government & hello Mobocracy!

Goodbye united states & hello balkanization!

Goodbye English & hola Espanol!

Goodbye Capitalism & hello Socialism!

Please tell me you understand this.
