All these BHD topics got me thinking about that amazing video footage of the Mt Hood rescue that went very very badly.

Rescuers work around the upside down Pave Hawk helicopter after it crashed on Mount Hood, Ore., Thursday, May 30, 2002, during the rescue attempt of climbers that had fallen into a crevasse. Costs are piling up from the May 30 rescue of injured climbers and, while much of the effort was from volunteers, it was still hands down the most expensive rescue ever in Oregon. Three climbers were killed in the accident and all crew members of the Air Force Reserve helicopter survived the crash. (AP Photo/Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue, Dennis Butler
