You might want to check out the asking price though.

I'd go with the DVD.

Yeah it is out in places. Can't wait to get the video. However if the price is ridiculously high I may just wait and get it on pay-per-view. Hehe. I still have enough classics such as Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, Hamburger Hill, Saving Private Ryan, Platoon Leader, Thin Red Line, Bat 21 and The Walking Dead to keep me occupied until it does come out. If those aren't enough I have every single episode of the popular 1980's tv show "Tour Of Duty" just lying around waiting to be watched again! It was that show that got me interested in AR-15's in the first place. I was young and very impressionable in the late 1980's! TNT has been showing it around 3 PM EDT, minus the original 1960's era music that was used when it was on CBS.

The bare bones DVD & VHS come out June 11th.

The two disc Black Hawk Down Special Edition will come out later this year. No official release date yet on the BHD SE version. The assumption is a realease date between Aug & Oct '02.

Do a search for Black Hawk Down.  The selling price is $19.87 for the DVD.

I have found, at least around here, is that it is easiest to just walk into Best Buy on the Tuesdays that new movies come out.  They always have a rack with the new flick right next to the door.  I just stop on my way home from work and pick it up.

FWIW, I did rent it at the Radisson that I stayed at in Dallas last weekend.  It was much better in surround sound though.

http://www.buy.com has it for $17 I believe...plus the cheap shipping (which means you'll wait a little longer and assuming you're out of Cali (no tax) you should get it for less than $20 when all is said and done.
