This article explains Black Friday in the UK. I found it earlier in the week after a British frugal blogger I follow was mentioning Black Friday. I never knew it had spread to the UK.

Remember we live in an interconnected world these days. Noones going to pay full price for something when they can get it for half the price on the US Amazon or other website, so international branches and competitors have to reduce their prices accordingly at the same time. That said, there's something not quite right about watching 3 British people each holding one end of a box containing a TV, each trying to pull it in a different direction like the 3 stooges. We're supposed to be polite! |
