I thought I was doing well to have a ten-year-younger girlfriend, but I just read a book about an 80-year-old who married a 15-year-old. (Alabama, of course...)

ETA I forgot to mention - he had a kid with her.

And when he died, she married his grandson.

Guess there are guys doing better than you

I'm four years from my fiance
Link Posted: 4/8/2006 4:35:22 AM EDT
I think 10-15years should be the max. Anything beyond that and there's too big a generation gap.

And when you see a 60+ marrying a sub-25, its not cuz they love each other.

One of my college roommates is nine years younger than his wife.

That's right, he's younger.

That'd be an education if you were 21 and she was 30.

It'd turn into a nightmare when you were 41 and she turned 50.

Well, they got married when he was 23. That was 1991. They're still married.

Are they lovin' life? Or has she gone to seed and left him with a bad case of unrequited stiffy?

AFAIK, they're still humping like two jackrabbits. She's 47 right now. Not a spring chicken, but definitely MILF material (although they have no children).

Any 35 year old man ought to know that an 18 year old girl has no life experience compared to him. She has more life she needs to live before getting to that point where marriage is generally considered the right time.

Since you said he's treating her badly, that puts him into a whole 'nother category.

My wife is ten years older than me, we have been married for 14 years now.

I'm 44 now, she is progressing back, we think she is about 20 now.

I just wish I had met her a few years earlier so we could have had more years together.

A tip: Never take a sleeping pill and a laxative at the same time.

(It was a good book, wasn't it?)

My wife is 14 years and one day older than me. We have been toether for overr 12 years. I don't remember it ever being an issue thoug I heard some snide remarks from other ladies when we were first dating and I looked a lot younger (had hair). Most people think she is younger than she is.

When my wife wants to dig on me for being older, she reminds me that while I was in the Persian Gulf for the 1st Gulf War, She was in 8th grade writing "Any Soldier" letters

I know a woman who is 10 years younger than her husband, today he is retired, and she is still working. In their younger days, she used to be rearing to go out, he was too tired.

LOL, I was stationed at Quanitico Virginia in '79, right near where my girlfriend was living at the time. I said I wished I'd met her back then. She reminded me that when I was a new lieutenant, she was twelve

My gf is exactly 20 years younger than I am.

I am 45 and she is 25. I'll be popping the question this year I am pretty sure. We get along perfect. Are best friends and have lived together for 1 year plus w/o a single problem / fight etc.

Sounds like a huge age difference. But throughout my 30's I kept dating 20 somethings and it continued into my 40's .... found me a keeper after tossin' alot of'em back .

I had a teacher in High School who was 18 years younger than her husband. That means when she was born, he was on his way to college. Kinda odd huh?

He has kids older than she is.

My wife is 13 years younger than I am. We have been together since she was 23. I am 46 and She is 33. No problems and we are just as much in love as when we met if not more so.

The guy that Anna Nicole Lard-Bucket "married " was a bit older that she was.

You may notice that as the years go by, you get older a lot faster than she does. How could that be?

No. He passed when I was just over a year old. I didn't get to know him at all and have no memories of him what so ever

I'm 35 and my youngest is 4. I want to meet my grandkids

-9 is better.

wow, that's kind of freaky. I mean think about it, he was either finishing highschool or starting college (if he went). It just seems really weird to me.

My first wife was 3 years older than me and my second wife was 5 years older.

Guess I like mature women.

My step-daughter just turned 20 this week and is getting serious with her new 32 year old boyfriend of three months.

He seems like a nice guy, but when I put them side by side I wonder what the hell they will talk about. His sophistication level is so much higher than hers.

Lots of warning signs here but I have been told to butt out:

He is divorced and on the rebound from a recent relationship.

My step-daughter hates living with her real dad.

This is her first relationship.

She has bonds worth $80K maturing over the next 2.5 years.

She is lazy, can't cook, can't clean, is a slob, and has no real work experience or has ever had a job that somebody didn't get for her. She is very pretty and has potential but what 20 year old doesn't?

After the show we are working on closes, they are going on a road trip to meet his parents in FL and NC.

Maybe it's just me, but sounds like things are happening too quickly and this relationship sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. The only thing they have in common is musical theater. I think she is all gaga over being in love for the first time, and like a typical male, I think he is enamored with the sex and in a few months he will eventually get bored with her.

Not if you saw her. She's tips the scale around 200lbs (big and big boned) and could not find anybody her own age so she latched onto this older guy who's divorced & not exactly a chick magnet himself.

She needed a place to live, he "rented" her a room and they ended up in the same room
