MacDonalds leaving 7 countries with poor profit margins.

There was a claim once that no two countries that had McD's had ever gone to war against each other.

That was Thomas Friedman in his book "The Lexus and the Olive Tree". Clinton's groovy bombing campaign against Serbia in 1999 popped Friedman's inane and meaningless observation.

I'll never understand why that tool gets the respect and awards he does (3 Pulitzers) while the best journalists alive today, Matt Taibbi and Mark Ames, are derided and ignored.
