PASADENA, Calif.--Mad Men will return for the first of its two final seven-episode seasons on April 13, and Better Call Saul, a Breaking Bad spinoff focused on the smarmy lawyer played by Bob Odenkirk, arrives in November, AMC announced Saturday.

Bob Odenkirk is great - any Mr. Show fans here?

I hope the Saul show turns out good.

Eh... I'm a bit hesitant, but if it's good, I'll probably be hooked. Hopefully they won't let any of the writers from The Walking Dead near it.

*Fingers crossed for Saul*

The other two new series sound interesting.   Definitely going to check those out.

I was hooked on the Walking Dead, thought it was great....then the Governor came into the picture, coupled with rick being a puss every episode, it seemed like I was watching the same episode over and over....haven't watched one episode this season, after watching all the previous seasons religiously.....

I wonder what meal will take the leading role?

Link Posted: 1/11/2014 2:18:27 PM EDT
I don't know.  In Breaking Bad he was the comedy relief.  Part of what made him so funny was the way he could act the way he did when he was surrounded by all that serious shit.  A whole show of him being funny might be too much.  Hopefully they can pull it off.

Interesting cause if not then he could defend Jessie since he was involved in the shooting of a federal agent.

Sad to say but I am not sure anyone could make a show as great as Breaking Bad. That was genius in a can.

Hell yeah. They could even work in a younger Jessie or even Hank. The kind of people Saul represents make the possibilites endless.

Yeah I can see the writers getting pretty wild with the different story lines.  Tuco, the Nazis/AB whatever they were, etc.

Bizarre events and bizarre people will be drawn to him. He's a magnet for the not ordinary. The weird cynical humor is his coping mechanism. He's a fixer. The guy with the answers. The connections.

I used to watch it when it originally aired on HBO.  I bought the DVDs when they came out.  While the first two seasons are hit-or-miss, seasons three and four (especially) are among my favorite episodes of any show.  Bob's portrayal of the retarded father of "Bob Lamonta" was legendary.  It makes my shoes hurt to this day.
