I think the best thing to do is spend lots of time & effort. If it took lots of thought to get it done, then its all good, whatever it might be. (or at least looks like it took lots of thought and effort)

Local Aldi store has 1/2 doz. roses for $2.99. Took care of two ladies for $6. One was thrilled, the other (the wife) was the usual grump. Real glad I only spend a couple of bucks on her.
