I just wanted to throw this out here. I like to travel, and consider it a part of my lifestyle. For my age, 27, I've been to quite a few places. I have friends that were never on a plane until they were 26! I'd have to say up to now, Alaska is the most beautiful place I've ever been to. The first thing that came to mind while touring it was "I can't believe this is part of the USA?!?". Also, since my father was born and raised in Italy, I'd have to say Italy would be right next to Alaska in terms of sightseeing...

Where have some of you visited that have left lasting impressions?

Spent two weeks in in Smolensk, Russia. A missions trip with my church. We stayed at an orphanage and built playground equipment and generally fixed things for the kids. Absolutely wonderful time all around.

I MUST got to Alaska, though.

AMERICA, except the northeast and California. Every trip overseas confirms my theory that I live in the best place on earth.
