I was watching Chris Rock's Bigger and Blacker on Comedy Central last night.  Man he is funny.  I also like the Blue Collar Comedy Tour.

Whats with all the hype about the Blue Collar Comedy Tour?  Maybe its cause I'm a city boy, but I don't get it.

As for the best comedian, gotta say Seinfeld.

I bought some used paint at the hardware store.  It was in the shape of a house.

I also bought some batteries, but they weren't included.  So I had to buy them again.

Chris Rock (great brutal honesty)  "feed me, fuck me, and shut the fuck up"
Lewis Black (great neurotic slap of reality) "regular moo-cow fuck milk"
George Carlin (more great honesty) "those are the heavy seven..."
The Original Kings of Comedy (just plain funny, all of them) "I'm from the old school, I'll kick a kid's ass!"
Steven Wright (best one-liners ever) "I'm living on a one-way dead end street....I don' t know how I ever got there"

GOOD STUFF!

An escalator can never break down, it can only become stairs.  You might see a sign that says, "Sorry, Escalator temporairly stairs.  We are sorry for the convienience.  We apologize that you can still get up there."

I saw a jar of jellybeans, and there was this sign on the jar that said, "Guess how many, and you win the prize."  Awww C'mon man!  Lemme just have some!  I'll tell you what, you guess how many I want.  If you said 'a handful' you would be correct!

I opened a can of yogurt and on the bottom of the lid it said, "Please try again!" because they were having a contest I was unaware of.  At first I thought I had opened the yogurt wrong.  Maybe they were trying to encourage me.  "C'mon Mitch!  You can do it!  Try again!".  A little message of encouragement from your friends at Yoplait.  Fruit on the bottom, hope on top.

Agreed. I generally disregard anything political that comes from entertainers or other "celebrity" types anyway though. I listen to them to be entertained, period.

The majority of yous are giving credit to foul mouthed comedians.  A comedian doesn't need to curse in order to be funny.  I also watched some of Chris Rock last night, and im sorry I had to turn it off and that's because he had a speech impediment, seems like he couldn't begin speeking without saying the F word first.  Im sorry, but doesn't Eddie Murphy already have the copyright on the F word?

George Carlin is funny and an absolute classic. If you surveyed 100 comedians and asked them who they least wanted to follow on stage the most popular response would be him, because he is fantastic live. My top three would be this:
1. Gallagher- I know, kinda dorky but the best live show I ever saw was with him in St. Louis at the Fox Theatre.  I can remeber sitting in the 15th row and not getting anything from the sledge-o-matic. Then he pulls out a plate of Jello, and says" Now you people sitting in rows 12-20 are going to go home tonight and say, he didn't get me with nothing.......till he smacked that fvcking Jello!!!!"
2. George Carlin- read above
3. Sinbad- absolutely the funniest man alive, next to Cosby, that never cursed on stage.
