I pay just under $100 a month through Progressive for liability only on my 95 Camaro.  Today I went and looked at a 03 Silverado 1500 and am now looking for another company to go with. I'll need "full converage" as I'll be financing it. I did a quick qoute on Progressive's site and came out with $170 a month. The next couple of days I will be checking out some local insurance agents but am stuck on who too look into. What would a good company be? State Farm, allstate, geico, etc? I'm 23, Single(girlfriend) and a 16 month old son. The only thing I have on my record is one speeding violation and a driving with no license back when I had my permit.

I just switched from Liberty Mutual to progressive and saved myself $30 a month. I was paying 107 and they quoted me 77/month.

It seems to be different for everyone. I personally get the best rates at Progressive but I shop around everytime my policy comes up for renewal. Owning a newer rig with full coverage is going to cost a chunk of change anywhere you go.

There is no answer to this question. You're going to get 200 different replies and be more confused than when you started.

I'm an insurance agent and I couldn't possibly tell you what company would give you the best rates until I quote you with every company I represent.

So, my advice is to call a few agents and go with the cheapest quote.

I know that it's going to be different for everyone depending on there location, etc. I just wanted to see if there are certain ones more reccommended by people. Preferably by people who have had multiple insurance company's.

Do not give Progressive one single solitary dime of business! The founder of that fucking company is one of the sponsors of the radicals in Obama administration and many other Marxist movements. Who fucking cares how low their rates are. They are only using the proceeds of the money you give them to undermine and destroy you rights!

I went with the guys that are doing my home owner's insurance.  They cut you a nice deal, since you're buying some of their insurance already.

38 years with AMICA and never one complaint about them. Great price, service and they send a dividend each year since the policyholders are the owners.
