I wish Dawn of the Dead '04 had more of a post apocalyptic ending where they had more than a few pistols and a shotty and tried to rebuild civilization but...an island will have to do. Any better ones out there? maybe one leaning towards a survivalist type?

I thought Shawn of The Dead was pretty good for a Zombie movie, but I really like British humor.

DOTD '04 hands down.

Definitely Shaun of the Dead! It's extremely well-directed, extremely well-written, extremely funny and quite gruesome.

Dawn of the Dead, 2004 edition.

To much social-commentary bullshit in the originals.

Good God that was bad!

The zombie lesbian strippers were kind of cool though.

Pure Communism. The original Dawn of the Dead is not only the best zombie movie of all time, but is one of the best movies of all time period. The remake, however, is one of the worse. How many times do we have to say that ZOMBIES CANNOT RUN

Original Dawn. The music is cheesy, the acting is hit-and-miss, it has an obvious "low-budget" feel to it, but no other movie I've yet seen has been able to so effectively create such an eerie feeling that the world as we know it is coming to an end (in the movie, of course). 2004 Dawn included.

Incorrect. Other than kicking off the genre, the original Romero movies, in fact, sucked ass. This is a proven scientific fact.

Ya, sure.

If zombies can't run, then how the hell did the film so many of them running in the DOTD remake?

Brain Dead.

I watched Lucio Fulci's "Zombie" a couple of months ago. It had a great scene where a Zombie fights a shark. That's right, a guy in zombie makeup fights a live shark. Also good nude scenes. It's a 70's film by an Italian director but the dialog is in english and it's a pretty good movie.

Dead Alive.

"I kick ass for the Lord!"

And who can forget the use of a lawnmower as a zombie cuisinart...

I'd have to agree on the suckage part. Tried to watch NOTLD, couldn't finish it. Dawn of the dead wasn't completely terriable, day of the dead was fun to watch because it was filmed in my home town, fort myers florida. Land of the dead blew monkey nutz.

DOTD '04 was pretty good.
