What's your favorite villainous movie plan? Sure, they never work out because the hero screws things up but there have been some doosies over the years. Here's my top 5 ...

1) Operation Grand Slam (Goldfinger)
Auric Goldfinger's plan to irradiate the federal gold reserve at Fort Knox, therefore increasing the value of his own stocks ten-fold, is near perfect.

2) Nakatomi Plaza (Die Hard)
Hans Gruber's plan to rob 600 million in bearer bonds under the guise of a terrorist strike was planned out to the smallest detail. Although I'm not sure how 13 terrorists and all the money was going to fit in that one small ambulance...

3) USS Missouri (Under Siege)
William Stranix gets his hands on the nukes with the help of cross-dressing Gary Busse - how ingenious is that!

4) Frozen Concentrate Orange Juice (Trading Places)
Mortimer and Randolph Duke have a sweet inside deal to make a killing on FCOJ by arranging to get their hands on an early copy of a Dept of Agriculture report. Unfortunately for them Louis Winthorpe and Billy Ray Valentine intercept the report, substitute a fake and make the killing themselves at the Duke's expense.

5) Operation Thunderball (Thunderball)
SPECTRE agent Emilio Largo hijacks a British Vulcan bomber with two nuclear weapons aboard, holding NATO to a 100 MILLION pounds sterling ransom. His operation is nearly untraceable due to the fact that the weapons are cached and delivered via underwater operations. Only James Bond and a couple of platoons of SEALs manage to keep Miami from becoming a crater.

A View to a Kill Max Zorin (Christopher Walken) tries to do the same thing but to wipe out Silicon Valley so that he has the monopoly on silicon microchips.

Similar but different reasons from Lex Luthor. Motivating factors money and power.

Batman Jack Napier (Jack Nicholson) tries to run the city of Gotham's crime ring and has no problem killing everyone to do it.

Motivating factors money, power, and insanity.

X-Men Magneto (Ian McKellen) wants either everyone to be a mutant or to not be with the land of the living, there is no middle ground with him.

Motivating factors survival and world domination.

Halloween Michael Myers has to kill off his family members but we don't know that until later in the series. He is relentless, cold and a down to earth kind of guy.

Motivating factors killing his family, evil, and insanity

Aliens The Queen do I really have to explain what she does.

Motivating factor her children.

The Emperor in Return of the Jedi - Draw the rebel alliance into a trap by offering them the opportunity to destroy the second Death Star and kill him, while playing the seditious father Darth Vader against his powerful but inexperienced son Luke Skywalker in a fight that would have had one or the other as his apprentice.
