I like it simple- 2 slices of white bread, with a light spread of Mayo, table cut turkey slices, cranberry sauce, and lettuce. MMMmmmm....

Get a hoagie style bun/roll. cut it, then take the bottom half and:
start with a layer of Thinly sliced turkey (deep fried is great!) sprinkle on some 'cajun seasonings' add a layer of swiss or equiv chees add a layer of sliced jalapeno's add a layer of swiss or equiv cheese Place this half of the sandwich (open faced) under a broiler/toasteroven until chees starts to melt, then lightly toast the top half of bun/rollthing along side the bottom. Remove from under broiler/toasteroven add lettuce and tomato and a touch of mustard (spicy brown or dijonstyle) assemble the sandwich and eat. |

Geez, Grock, I thought you said "simple."
Like; Two slices of wheat bread, a good helping of Miracle Whip and shredded turkey, white and dark. The only way to make that simple sandwich better is to cut it in half and plop a big helping of mashed potatos between them and gravy over everything. Mmmmmmmmmm |

mayo shredded turkey stuffing cranberry sauce walnuts That's right I said walnuts. Food texture is as much a part of eating as smell, taste, and visual appeal. Crunchy walnuts offset the mushy stuffing and soft chewy turkey meat very nicely. I learned this trick after the chief cook in my house put walnuts in her stuffing a few years ago and I loved it. |
