Without a doubt, 10 years ago. Wings have more of a rivalry with the Ducks now than the Avs. That may change this season though, both teams are more physical, and the Avs are talented again.

Bears/Packers

As a Red Wings fan, I hate the Ducks, but I still LOATH the Avs.

It's hard to beat Yankee/Red Sox when this is a Red Sox ad:

Yankees/Red Sox rivalry goes back a long time, so they get my vote.

The Avalanche/Red Wings rivalry was fun to watch in the late 90's into the 00's.

Oh I'm with you man, I got into hockey in '95, loved Stevie Y and have been a fan ever since. I can't STAND the Avs, but it just hasn't been a competitive rivalry for 5 or 6 years.

I can't believe people actually watch baseball on TV. I love playing baseball, and I even enjoy going to a game now and then. On TV, absolute bore. I'd rather watch golf. Almost.

Bears/Packers, no question.

There were many times when the Yankees/Red Sox game didn't mean anything either but it was still considered a rivalry.

Eagles vs Cowboys seems like a pretty big one. Especially during the TO in Dallas years.

+1. People have been killed at these games.

But from the ones listed, Red Sox/Yankees.
Link Posted: 11/4/2009 10:07:02 AM EST
The Sox-Yankees Rivarly is nearly 110 years old. There's more history and mythology there than anywhere else in professional sports.

Still the correct answer to the question is:

Red Sox / Yankees

Yanks and Sox.

What I do not like is when the Boston pitchers try to hit Yankee hitters, that's fucking uncalled for.

I think it changes over time. Right now, Yankees/Red Sox is probably the best because both teams are so good and the rivalry is old and heated. I'd like to have voted for Cowboys/Redskins, but the Redskins have sucked for so long that it's not much of a rivalry right now. IMO, a quality rivalry needs both teams to be competitive.

Cleveland Browns/Oakland Raiders

Its a rivalry to see who is crappier

Random city's collection of overpaid free agents that will play for someone else next year against another random city's collection of free-agents that will play for someone else next year.

That's the best rivalry.

I can't remember if it beat other games for a record or not...

I got to skate at the Joe a few times during the lockout and made a special point to stand on the spot Darren McCarty beat the snot out of that b*tch Claude Lemieux.
