Where do you like best for breakfast, break, or just hanging out?

Best breakfast in town is at the 40th St. Cafe, NE corner of 40th St & Greenway in Phoenix. Best place to hang out is just about anywhere on ASU campus. The scenery is amazing.

OMG, DENNY's ROCKS!!! Who else has corn beef hash, hashbrown, onion, mushroom skillets with 4 eggs over easy???!!!

IHOP, they give you fried eggs, sausage and pancakes. Also, you are trusted with an entire carafe of hot black coffee.

None of those. Any diner, or local place. Chains and franchises suck.

Fresno area-BJ's Country Kitchen.Best biscuits and gravy around, and can cure any hangover. In Long Beach-the Coffee Cup,or the Potholder, can't be beat.

Forgive me, my friends, but I voted for wherever Rosie is going for breakfast. I may not follow her politics, but I'll follow her into a restaurant anyday! Small town here has a mom-'n-pop greasy spoon on the town square called Oldtimer's. We call it Alzheimer's. For breakfast the place is a local institution for a group that calls itself the Board of Directors. Bunch of lyin' gadflys who fish, hunt, drink and carouse together when their wives allow. Old guys who played high school football, married each other's sisters, got each other out of jail and generally did what small town Texas guys do for each other. God I love those guys.

Hey, Arock, I grew up in a town like that - it was called Chillicothe, Texas. I still go to the 'Down Home Bakery' there on Hwy 287, for breakfast! And why ain't you at the Mesquite Gun Show this morning? Eric The(AndIGotALotOfPhotosINeedToGiveYou,Too!)Hun[>]:)]

The Brand south of Redmond and the Country Nook in downtown Redmond. Both damn good. I haven't found a place in Portland yet.

Yeah, local places are good. I'm with Eric..like I say when I recommend a restaurant "Look at me, it's obvious I know something about eating" since I'm 6'1" 285. But the poll says franchises, so I had to go with IHOP. Those pancakes with the wheat and nut or whatever they are called and the coffee on the table are great...not to mention that when you ask for grits they give you a vegetable bowl of em!

Eric...Yeah Chillicothe! Go thru there several times a year on the way to Santa Fe or Creede. Chillicothe's doin' allright. I always look at the towns on 287 to see how they're making it. We usually make breakfast at the Pioneer in Wichita Falls, but we'll leave early and stop at the Down Home Bakery next time (maybe over Christmas). Got a friend here who's from Quanah. He's a big time attorney, hunter and very dedicated shooter. I know how you Panhandle guys are. My boy and I will be at the Big Town show after lunch. See 'ya there?

Oh, you poor, poor bastards. You guys don't have any George Webb's out there do ya? Their waitresses get payed by how much they weigh.

When you eat at McD's, you contribute to the anti's. My favorite breakfast place is the beach pavilion at the Divi Southwind Resort here on Barbados.

IHOP rocks. Can't beat their deals. And I figure it is the best place to wait for the next mass murdering gunman. Then I'll get to properly try out my HK USP.

Don't know where you are, but from your username I'm assuming CA... adn if you get to San Diego, there's a great place on the corner of Pacific Highway and Rosecrance (sp?) They're only open until 2:00 during the week, but the food is good, the prices are right, and the wait at noon on sunday is about 3 times as long as Denney's I wish I could recall the name, but I can't... and I wish they had one up here... ah well

The best place for me is the Sugar Shack on Main Street in downtown Huntington Beach. Great food and the talent is spectacular on a summer morning.

Wow. A tie. I have to say the little hole in the wall type joints are what I prefer. Case in point: Little Joes. Sacramento Ca. Best known for their killer T-bone steaks. Double bacon and eggs. (YUM!!) Killer super thick waffles.. Ah crap!! This is torture!!

You are all cordially invited to visit Gunmonkey's place of employment, Hamdogs, in Gardnerville, NV. Breakfast is $2.99( $3.99 for the big ticket items like NY steak or Prime Rib) , there's no such thing as last call, and best of all it's FULL of gun nuts. From the owner (John:RugerP85), Manager(Greg:Glock17),Bartender and Greg's wife(Beba:ColtSFVI), the Kitchen Manager(Larry:Beretta92),cook(Don:High Standard .22),your waiter/bartender(Gunmonkey:Glock30) right down to the customers(including gunwriter Wiley Clapp) there's a lot of heat in that joint, not just the Nitro Wings. We are open 24/7, have a full bar, pool tables, darts, and sattelite TV on 14 TVs. P.S. F@#K Denny's.

Gunmonkey, are you in the Vegas area? That sounds like the perfect place when I want to avoid the crowds at the casinos.

Starbucks. Morning paper. Grande Americano w/ half and half, 2 sweet and lows. Chocolate Croissant. However, after a night of drinking, nothing beat Denny's at 3AM. Moon over my hammy is the ticket. Lrg Diet Coke. Then go home, pop an aspirin and a tall glass of water, then off to bed. Unless of course I got lucky, which has not happened since I moved to TX.

I've spent many a mealtime in Denny's; original Grand Slam, scrambled, with cheese in the eggs. IHOP also rocks, but if I want the best pancakes on the planet I go to Perkins (www.perkinsrestaurants.com). -kill-9
