Want some expert feedback on what others feel is the best "package" gun for CMP(DCM) competition.  Bushmaster, Armalite, Rock River Arms, etc???  Any Mfg. that offers a CMP/DCM legal "full rifle" - want personal feedback, preferences, etc.  Thanks a million!

Sincerely,

bushmaster and RRA are nice, and are also the only ones I have any experience with. Get whatever suits your budget now gain experience and learn what you like. Any one of the rifles you mentioned will be able to shoot better than you can, so accuracy is not an issue.

Take a look at the CMP website at www.odcmp.com and look for the AR15 rifle sales.  I remember five different rifles for sale there that are fully equipped for DCM shooting.

**Edited to say there are seven different AR15 rifles listed under "Rifle Sales".  One Bushmaster and six Compass Lake Engineering rifles.  All seem like good deals.

Thanks to all who responded.  I'm new to this site and didn't realize that this was the "Non-Firearms" related post.  I've moved this question to the "Firearms Related" forum.  Sorry and thanks for the advice and patience!

Sincerely,

You are definitely in the wrong forum.  Go to the Competition forum...we're all HP/CMP shooters there.

I have a DPMS and think it is twice the gun compared to my Bushmaster Carbine. I bought mine for $965.

That said, my friend has a Bushmaster DCM and his is even better than my DPMS. It is $100 more, but worth it.
