Led Zeppelin and then everyone else.

That time period is the high water mark for music.

He must mean that since Scholz built just about everything they used to play and produce the music for the first two albums, that they're sound is "made up."

I'm gonna go with that.....because anything else is fuckin retarded.

You don't make a statement like that without an explanation.

One of the most underrated 70's bands is the Electric Light Orchestra.

Thank you. I haven't listened to Bridge of Sighs (8 track at the time) or heard any other Robin Trower since 1974.

Amazon, here I come!

Boston was Tom Scholz and Brad Delp. The rest of them were there to audition and to play instruments when Scholz couldn't use a multitrack recorder. They were talented musicians. You don't hire schlubs for your audition with Epic Records. But they could have been replaced by anyone who could play. The sound was all Tom Scholz.

Okay--your fail is strong here.

"BEST+70s+ROCK" are three words that you should NEVER, EVER use within the same sentence.

Giving the benefit of the doubt, he means that there's too much good stuff to choose a single "Best".

Ten Years After-Help Me, Live at the Fillmore East 1970.

TYA-Help Me

ETA: This whole album is bloody amazing...Imma be busy for a while.

Aren't you sweet?
But it's a 'teener. He means 70s rock is dated and sucks, as he listens to techno.

ETA: Probably rap, as I think about it.
Maybe cookie monster rock.

This rocks.
