Oh.
My.
God.

You know you watched it as a kid, you probably shown your kids if you have them.

I just had to see this movie again (wife loves it).  It's so blatantly anti-hunting, it's crazy.

I officially blame Disney for the oppressive hunting laws and overpopulation of deer in the US.

Talk about a let down.  I associate the name Bambi with porn stars and stippers.  I had my hopes up that this would be an illegal BoTD thread.

I liked the part where the deer got shot.

Stupid fur-covered anti-car missle.

When my younger daughter was about 3 or 4 she commented that it wasn't right to shoot deer because they are so pretty.  I told her that we have to shoot them before we can eat them, because it would be very bad to eat them while they are still alive.

She pondered that for a minute and then said, "OK!"

My favorite [rolleyes] part of Bambi, was when the hunters go marching across the field indescriminately shooting everything that moves,
collecting none of the game, and overfilling their tag limit of everything legal and illegal, in and out of season.

I like it that Bambi's father appears to be an Elk.

And lets not forget Smokey the Bear and the fire scene in Bambi.  This alone has done more damage to forests than all logging combined.

Why?  Fire supression has allowed the forests to become tinder boxes. Regular fires keep the understory relatively free of combustible duff and litter.  Supressing all fires has allowed 100 years of trash to build up so the next fire will certainly burn the trees tot he ground.

Trees are only capable of surviving a ground fire.  Get the fire to the canopy and a crown fire destroys the forest.

I'm ashamed that ass hole was from Missouri.  Why couldn't he have choaked on a hot dog?
Disney sucks.

I have never thought of Bambi as being anti-hunting.
