Hey, I'm going to need one of these in the near future. But what the hell man! Nobody makes them in desert tan and puts MOLLE rings on the outside. How bad ass would it be to be able to attach a cross draw 1911 holster on the front of this thing or maybe add some extra mag. pouches?

I think I found a whole new market,

Carry a squirmy, heavy baby around a mall for an hour, and you'd be begging for a Rhodesian Baby-Rig.

It's a joke shitbag... I'm going to be a Dad in a few months. If being proud of that is being pussified... Well than, I guess I'm a pussy.

yeah, but make that fucker out of three-color desert cordura, slap some velrco and MOLLE/PAL attachments on the back, and now you got a T.D.B.C.R. Tactical Daddy Baby Chest Rig that could double as a range bag when junior gets bigger. I just think your jealous that this pussy thought of it first!

You'll be driving a mini van with spiddle stains on your members only jacket, and I know it.

The reality is....

They don't work for most babies.

I had 1 of 6 that would SORT of last in one.

The position of the baby is the biggest problem. These things are WAY too upright...and it will be YOU that leans back to try to make the baby comfortable.

This is one of the things you buy with your first, and don't with the rest.

YMMV.

edited, because typing with nails is a bitch.

+1

I would also add that you might consider a Maya wrap for you and your wife.

My wife made a couple in non-offending fabric and they worked great.

Also, FWIW its much less gehy than some couch commando all gussied up in his marpat chest rig (XXXL) with lots of Molle loops hanging off calling you a wuss for actualy wanting to haul your kid around.

Cammo is for brain dead deer hunters.

I had a back pack style one and both of my kids loved it. They liked being high up and able to look around at everything. The backpack deal also keeps your hands free so you can do work, grocery shop, browse the gun shop without having to worry about juniors grabby hands mesing with things.

When they are real young, look on the web for instructions on how to make a ring sling.

My GF makes one for the couples we know who had a baby,

and they love them, its basically a sling of fabric that the baby kind of rests in like a swing.

leaves for hands free, and is real secure.

Plus you can make it in any color you want.

(no three point attatchments though sorry!)

We have a Snuggle and was given a Baby Bejorn(sp). It's actually an easy way to carry the kid around and frees up the hands for shooting or knife fighting I much prefer the Snuggle design which has easier to use plastic clips over the buttons.

Going to break out the Snuggle in a nother 6mo.
