No matter how much you beg, you CAN'T have any 9 round Colt 223 mags.

Nope, they are strictly verboten.

Federal law and such.

I've seen BM LEO guns for sale to the general public.
Link Posted: 10/24/2004 7:41:24 AM EST
A gunsmith in AZ promised that he would get me a BM LEO M4gery type in the mail to a local FFL as soon as both payment was sent and the AWB was expired (as in if(rifle.paymentSent() && awb.isExpired())). So, yes, you can get them.

Did I? No, I just bought a CAR-15 at a gunshow. But you can still get them from some kind FFLs.

Isaw one in a gun show marked Leo only. The seller had it advertised as "rare". Price was $2495.00

I thought it was a ripoff.

Now, the only "LEO only" ARs being produced by any of the manufacturers are the select fire models. Nothing else is "LEO only" anymore.

Ok, cool. I'm having trouble finding a new BM no-ban M4, because none of the places I've looked have gotten any since the ban died. I was wondering if it was caused by BM pussying out and going like Colt.

I guess they'll ship them eventually. I just wish it was sooner.

One must remember that the DEMAND for no-ban configured rifles is damn near off the scale at present, and as a result the SUPPLY of such rifles is lacking at present. Give the manufacturers time to ramp production up to meet the demand.

Proof that you have not tried to order anything from Bushmaster....

Go look in the industry section, lots of us have been waiting for our stuff for weeks now, I wont be getting my 14.5 w/ phantom bbl for what Im guessing will be at least another month. I got a package in the mail, It was a Ejection port cover, and a Forward asst assem.

I sent in my order for a

14.5 HBAR w/ Phantom

Carry handle

Bolt/carr (complete)

Sling and the above items....

I have been waiting 3 weeks, and have sent 2 E-mail's without anyone sending back so much as a "FUCK YOU!"... It is not a big deal to me, and I can wait, But the backlog is nuts...

I wasn't sure. Ive seen dealers taking orders [temporarily] for Colt but nothing else. Any out there on the board?

Took a long shot today and stopped at Cabellas. Bought an M4 A3 with the Izzy flash suppressor. It was just recieved listed as pre-ban rather than a no-ban $949.00. Now I have to decide if I should put it away or park my SP1.

My FFL sold all he had of the Bushmaster LEO's in a week. He says he can't get any more.

This makes more sense than anything as Bushmaster makes an attempt at selling what people want, unlike Colt, who will see their marketshare shrink even more.

Armalite is selling "no ban" rifles, i love mine.
Link Posted: 10/26/2004 6:12:43 PM EST
the leo ones are marked "auto"

As has already been said, Bushmaster does not produce the LE Only models any longer. The production was stoped when the AWB died. - No need to manufacture an item with restricted markings on it when that item is no longer restricted under the Federal AWB.

All the complete LE Only rifles and receivers were sold off right after the ban ended to the public or anyone who had the money to purchase them.

I called BM on Sept. 20th and asked them if they were selling the LE Only maked receivers and rifles to the public. Their response was that they most certainly were, but only had a few left and when they were gone, they were gone.

So, to answer your question; yes, Bushmaster did sell their LE Only maked rifles to the public. Until they sold them all.
