Details comming up.

Wisconsin Assembly voted 64-34 on the override Gov Doyle's veto of the Personal protection act. Two votes shy of the needed 66 votes to override the veto.

On a side note the Wisconsin Supreme court will be hearing a CCW case in Febuary, and I hope to God they make good on thier threat to fix this issue if the legislature does not. They failed to rectify the situation twice so now it's in the courts hands.

Well, at least the dupe police showed up.

On topic.  There is something fundamentally wrong with a governing body that won't let the populace exercise their RIGHT to carry arms.  I for one can not wait until I get the opportunity to leave this state.  I am hopeful that our future elected officials will do the right thing before I am forced to leave this state out of pure frustration.

no problem he was updating it as the results came in...

I just hope these asshats lose their jobs in november, and there's no governor doyle to give the cushy state jobs they were likely promised.

I am on the same page as you.

This and the rediculous taxes and tax assesment policies here have got me seriously thinking about how I can move out of this state. If only I weren't loyal to the family business that operates here...or if only I could convince the family to move it somewhere else.

Remember we'll be losing something like 20 people after this year. I know two repubs that are running, I'll be working on one of thier comapaigns. They are both pro CCW so that will help us next year if the courts don't fix this shitty situation like they threatened to do.

the problem with the court is sykes is gone to the federal bench, and a former conservative vote has now sided with the doyle administration and trial laywers.

I hold out no hope for sanity from a state supreme court that rules a business can be sued for a product that the plaintiffs can't even show the company made. They will not be bound by the constitution or prior rulings - merely what they as liberals want to see happen.

Just strap a Peacemaker to your hip and lash it down, and wander around that way

Sure, the local law enforcment may see this as a fundraising opportunity...but it's legal!

The only reason she was elected the first time was because every one came out of the republican primary bleeding by the bucket, and they split the vote.  No way she gets re-elected in Kansas.

It is but it isn't there is no law that says it's illegal, and there is no law that says it is legal. So with the vagness of the disorderly conduct statute, you can and will be cahrged with DC for open carry. I've heard it from a Madison cop and Milwaukee cop that it's Dept. policy to arrest, ticket whatever for DC for open carry.

Ed you think like me.

I used to open carry 100% of the time after the Minnesota CARRY law was passed.
I was harrassed way too much and only do it about 50% of the time.

Why don't you do like they did in Ohio.  Have peaceful open carry walks.  They can't arrest large groups of people, they don't  have any way to deal with them.

Funny hting about that. I brought it up here a while back, AdrianUSP9 busted his ass and put together the proposal and shopped it to the various pro-CCW groups in the state. WCCA said they'd do it, then they didn't do a damn thing with it. I'd like to do it, but not alone because I don't have the money to fight the charge if I get busted for DC for open carry and with a large group it would be less likely that anyone would get busted for DC or anything else..

I ain't going in for shit.  Now that is not much of a concern where I live as I open carry all the time so I can talk all the shit I want but my kids are raised and I am at a point in my life and with my gov't where I am just flat out done taking shit from anyone.  And I practice all the time.

Here, in Idaho, guys still have rifles in gun racks during hunting season.  Everybody is armed and I hope it stays that way.
