No one knows yet who set it accorindg to the talking head on TV. They are trying to get it rendered safe so they can remove it, the bomb squad was enroute to the location according to the news.

According to this map, there ain't much there

I can usually pick out the right of ways of railroad lines (hobby) - don't see any pipelines but not sure what to look for - would they actually try a pipeline itself (thought they were all buried?) or a pumping station or ???

I can think of several places off the top of my head where pipelines are above ground or elevated, usually to cross a river.

The cheaper gas is, the more of it they sell, and I'm hearing there will be quite an oversupply next year.

My bad what they said on TV was pipeline.. As for environmental looneys we have em, but they usually STFU and stay hid out. Those ideas are not terribly popular in Okla.

OKEMAH, Okla. –– The FBI and Oklahoma Highway Patrol are investigating what appears to be a possible improvised explosive device with a timing mechanism fastened to a gas well 2 miles south of Okemah.
The Okfuskee County Sheriff’s Department says it is 2 miles southeast of Okemah.
Authorities are shutting down state highway 27 as a precaution while they investigate.
