Now we are splitting hairs. He was a salaried member of management.  Therefore he had access to places within the store and also knew where to go in the store.

He went to the break room to shoot associates for fucks sake.

so a work place violence incident more than a random mass shooting

workplace violence caused by the oppression of white capitalism

At least partially because there's almost always some upcoming vote on gun control legislation.

I'm completely fascinated and at the same time baffled by the liberals attempts like this. Signs.... laws like NY where unless theres a sign allowed, no guns allowed. Banning of guns in "special areas", stores like walmart bans gun, and then shit like every shooting happens where criminals don't give a shit about any gun laws...Its fascinating to comprehend if wasn't so sad that its surrounding shootings

If we are guessing motive.

I'm thinking he got fed up with trying to motivate those under him.  Especially when he's probably not a strong leader himself.

knowing how few people are generally available in most retail stores.

Employees were likely spending too much time off the sales floor when they should be working.

As a manager that was probably falling on him to get them out and without the power to fire anyone. It's all bark and no bite.

Obviously it's not justification. But this is a Walmart in a particularly urban area by most accounts and the breakroom seems an interesting choice.

Shows anger specifically to co-workers and in a situation when they wouldn't be working.  Also the fact that there were 6 or more employees injured.

I worked in a similar establishment and while there were a lot of people coming and going.  Six is kind of a lot to be on break at once.

That also tracks because it might suggest they were still in the breakroom once their shift had started and others were waiting for relief. (very counterintuitive in retro as those employees probably had to stay on shift until the store was closed)

Admittedly it's not super important why.  I think we all just get curious as to what is in the minds of crazy people like this.

Don't mistake that for naivete or stupidity. Maybe the bottom-level intern actually posting it is some idiotic true believer, but the people that fund and direct that group absolutely know and absolutely don't give a shit about their policies being useless tripe. To the mindless fearful squishy political middle, they're making a false appeal to authority with the official-sounding group name and trying to push the appearance of social consensus so that all the lemmings will just go where they think the herd is going. To you, they're making a vulgar assertion of power - basically, "we know you know we're full of shit and we also know you can't do anything but complain on Twitter".

There is always a shooting somewhere in the country. 330 million people will do that. What a lot of it is, the media picks up the story and makes it national. A lot of stuff in the past would have stayed as local or regional news.

You notice, Chicago gangland shootings are never a national news event.

News stations need strife to fill and sale airtime.

Chesapeake police say they first responded to an "active shooter" call at the store around 10:12 p.m. local time.

When officers arrived, they coordinated with a tactical team before entering the store, where they found multiple bodies, according to Chesapeake police spokesman Leo Kosinski.

Original report said officers waited 35-40 minutes before entering the store.  It was later Revised to leave wait time out.

Not that it would have done any good in this situation to go in when they arrived.  Only thing is they did not know shooter shot himself, and could have been worse.

In the summer of 2001, before 9/11, the media was reporting every shark attack in FL. They made it appear that it was absolutely dangerous to enter FL's waters. Thing was, it was the lowest recorded number of shark attacks in the state's history.

Andre Bing, Walmart Shooter: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Andre Bing was named as the mass shooter who murdered six people at a Chesapeake, Virginia, Walmart, the City of Chesapeake confirmed.

“We are still communicating with the victims’ families and will release their information as soon as possible. We can confirm that the shooter was 31-year-old Andre Bing of Chesapeake. He was armed with one handgun and had multiple magazines on his person,” the City of Chesapeake wrote on Twitter. He was a Walmart employee, the city confirmed.

The active shooter at the Chesapeake, Virginia, Walmart store, left six victims dead and more injured on the evening of November 22, 2022, according to Chesapeake police. Video from the scene captured an employee describing how the manager opened fire in a break room.

The first victim whose name was released was Tyneka Johnson.

Andre Bing died at the scene before police arrived, the city says. The mass shooting comes as the nation reels from the active shooter who killed five people at an LGBTQ-friendly nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Online records show that Bing was 31 and from Chesapeake, Virginia. He had previous addresses in Virginia Beach and Suffolk, Virginia.

According to CNN, Bing worked as the overnight team lead.

In a news conference, a police spokesman said officers found “multiple fatalities and multiple injured parties” inside the Walmart. He said that the first call came in at 10:12 p.m. on November 22, 2022. Police immediately found evidence that a shooting had occurred, he added.

“It’s less than 10 right now,” he said, although authorities later said six people had died. He believed most of the shootings “happened inside,” and he said that he did not know if the shooter was an employee. The spokesman said one victim was found deceased outside the Walmart.

A video circulated of Bing on Facebook. Heavy has reviewed the original video on the Facebook page of the woman who recorded it, Draayia Janaee.

Draayia Janaee wrote on Facebook, “BOY YOU SICK AF AND ITS CRAZY I GOT SO MANY VIDEOS WITH YOU . YOU KILLED PEOPLE THAT WAS REALLY CLOSE TO ME THERE . I NEVER WOULD OF THOUGHHT U WOULD DO SOME SH** LIKE THIS . RIP BRIAN , I just told you to leave that sh** too .. LOVE YOU BOY 🖤 THIS IS THE MANAGER WHO DID THAT !! ROT IN HELL MF.”

A man responded on her comment thread, “Bro killed a whole bunch of innocent kind people mhn. Wtf.” Draayia wrote on her own thread, “As much as we joked w Andre … boy was looney whole timeeee.”

Another person responded, “I just said the same thing to my husband. I knew one day he was gonna snap. I just didn’t know to what extent.” A man agreed: “But you got to remember I kept telling y’all that boy was crazy in the head.”

State Senator L. Louise Lucas tweeted, “I am absolutely heartbroken that America’s latest mass shooting took place in a Walmart in my district in Chesapeake, Virginia tonight. I will not rest until we find the solutions to end this gun violence epidemic in our country that has taken so many lives.”

In one live stream video from the scene, in the immediate aftermath of the mass shooting, a crying woman told a man she saw bodies. “That sh** crazy,” the man, Kevin Harper, who was recording the video, said, indicating that the shooter was a Walmart employee.

Harper said a manager went into the break room and started shooting people. “By the grace of God, you know,” Harper said in the video. One crying woman said the shooter “looked right at me… I saw him standing there.”

Harper wrote on Facebook, “They just shot up Walmart on battlefield.” He followed that up with the livestream video on Facebook, writing, “Shooting at my job.” The full video can be found on Harper’s Facebook page. Be forewarned that he names specific people he believes are victims in the video.

In the video, people said that the gunman shot a woman in the head and shot another man they knew. In the video, they discussed various people who they believed were shot. Harper said he “booked it” and ran out of the Walmart.

He said he was in the break room when the manager came in the room and “started capping people… we lost a few of our associates,” Harper said. “The manager shot a couple people here,” Harper told another man. He said he wasn’t going to show bodies in the video. “This ain’t no game…sad, sad…he plotted this sh**.” He said he left his jacket behind when he ran. Harper referred to the suspect as Andre.

He said he heard a barrage of gunfire shortly after he left the break room.

Tyneka Johnson Was the First Victim Named

Tyneka Johnson was named as a victim by family.

“Tyneka Johnson. D*** couss I’m sorry this happened to you💔so soon you had so many plans but i guess god had other plans🥺 So this means no more phone calls? No more sending pictures of your tattoos and i pick them out?” wrote Rashawnda Ruffin.

“No more of you FaceTiming me out the blu to talk junk with lil Re? No more of you replying to my stories hyping me up? No more of you calling to vent? Look over the Family couss. I’m just lost of words it was noting but laughs and jokes😔LONGLIVETYNEKA💜💜.”

The police spokesman said in the news conference that authorities believe there was a single shooter. He is deceased. He said there was not an officer-involved shooting.

The situation was still being investigated, so further details were not released.

Scanner Audio Described How a Woman Was Shot in the Neck & Another Person Shot in the Chest in the Grocery Section

Dispatch audio early on captured a dispatcher saying a female was shot to the neck, there was another “patient in front of Walmart,” a suspect was found in the break room with a possible gunshot wound, and one person was found shot in the chest in the grocery side.

The victims’ names have not been released by authorities.

Good thing the ATF and DOJ are upholding current laws on the books.

How many of the recent shooters should not have had guns in accordance with current laws?

The ATF and local PD’s need to do their jobs. No way the CO shooter should have had a weapon.

Not that it would have done any good in this situation to go in when they arrived.  Only thing is they did not know shooter shot himself, and could have been worse.

There's nothing to really discuss in these threads other than the slow drip of details and speculation.

I speculate in all of them because I generally take time to read everyone's posts and pick up most of the details.

It's seriously entertaining to craft a narrative on minimal data.

Try it.

Most misused journalistic phrase of the decade:  "...on the heels of..."  This would tend to indicate the two events were tied together in some way. Nope, just two assholes twisting off. Different cities, different weapons, and different motives.

Regardless of actual numbers I'd guess the media picks them up and waves them around a lot more when the political situation either allows Democrats to push through more gun control or gives them an opportunity to campaign on how those evil nasty Republicans refuse to stop mass murder with the latest magical unicorn fart law they hold up.

Yep, selective outrage.

Retrospection on the engineered mass psychosis of covid should make the media fueled mind control evident to everyone.

Yup.

Drama/fear sells, and draws a bigger audience, so they drum it up wherever/however they can.

Oh, there's no question the MSM is on a leash and pushes the narrative they're told to.

Minority nutjobs run over mostly white folks, using vehicles? Nah, doesn't fit the narrative they want to push. Ah, gun violence. Fewer killed than the nutjobs using vehicles, but fits the 'Guns are bad' narrative. Let's roll with it. Wait... the shooter is the wrong...type. Hmmm... let's not push too much on this. Focus on the bad guns.

The shooter's photo has been released (sorry if I missed it in the other seven pages).

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11461945/PICTURED-Walmart-worker-22-six-killed-manager-Virginia.html

Andre Bing, 31, is the shooter from yesterday's Walmart rampage. Police released this photo on Wednesday. They have not confirmed whether he had a criminal record

The Walmart gunman who opened fire in the break room of the Chesapeake store where he worked last night had a list of the names of people he wished to target.

Andre Bing, 31, opened fire in the breakroom of the Walmart in Sam's Circuit, Chesapeake, at 10.12pm last night, where 14 employees had gathered for a pre-shift meeting.

There were 50 people inside the store at the time, likely finishing some last-minute Thanksgiving errands.

Bing opened fire in the breakroom at the back of the store. He shot ten people before killing himself.

When police searched his body, they found a list of names that contained the names of the colleagues he wished to target, according to local Virginia outlet WAVY, citing an anonymous source.

Two of the victims were found next to Bing in the breakroom when police arrived, and a third was found at the front of the store.

Three others were taken to the hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.

Four people are still in the hospital with unspecified injuries.
