I don't have a problem with a company encouraging people to volunteer. If they want to go plant trees, teach orphans to read, etc - good for them. Their coffee sucks anyways.
As long as it's not gov mandated or funded service like Obama wants, who cares? |
My boycott list is pretty full. If I put Starbucks on there, I think something else will have to come off. In before someone says Starbucks sucks anyway.
How about instead of boycotting them, go in and SAY you'll do it, get your free coffee which will cost them money, and then be about your merry way with your free liquid crack.
I don't think there is a need for a boycott. If any gun owner in their right mind is doing business with them then they need to be shot. FUCK STARBUCKS! FUCK STARBUCKS!

So has everyone forgotten already about all the free coffee they sent to troops overseas?
For Christ's sakes.........no one is forcing anyone to buy their coffee . |
10-98. Already boycotted Starbucks when they refused to send coffee to Marines in Iraq....even if they paid for it......because they didn't agree with the war. It's up to them to not agree with the war.....but to not send coffee to a paying customer because he is a Marine commander trying to get coffee for his troops......

Can't help you, here –– it's kind of hard to "boycott" a business you've never been in even once.

I love starbucks! The college girls that work there and the milf in there buying coffee. Fuck yeah I'll be there in the morning.

Actually that is a false rumor go to snopes. but there are alot of issues with the company that are true. So I know this guy (Cough Cough) that used to work for starbucks for over 3 years (cough cough) Great health care for his family but got fed up with all the Biased political crap and when this Guy I know (cough cough) Decided to join the militaty he got alot of crap from his co workers and they thought he was crazy for enlisting. I know for a fact that they have sent coffee over Seas to the troops because I (cough cough) this guy I know helped out with it when he worked for the company. If this guy I know came into this forum he would be embarresed to admit he used to work for SBUX |

You don't know what you are talking about. http://www.defenselink.mil/news/newsarticle.aspx?id=24883 WASHINGTON, Nov. 9, 2004 – The coffee giant Starbucks and the American Red Cross are teaming up to deliver hot java to U.S. servicemembers serving overseas in the war against global terrorism.
Starbucks Chief Executive Officer Jim Donald said during a Capitol Hill press conference today in the office of U.S. Rep. Norm Dicks that his company would provide 50,000 pounds of free, whole-bean coffee that will be brewed and distributed by Red Cross workers to troops serving in Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq. "It's important that we show the support and we have shown support –– for our troops overseas," Donald explained. In fact, he said, Starbucks, headquartered in Seattle, has 80 employees in the military now deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. |

I'd boycott Starbucks...but it's BY FAR the most convenient place for me to meet with clients. Seriously, without Starbucks my business would be significantly more difficult to run, it's the perfect place for what I do. Liking money, I'll keep going to the Starbucks.
Dude, I can take a lot, but don't be dissin' my religion... oh, I mean coffee...
Bought my own barista machine, coffee, flavors....saved a crap load of money...
I like starbucks fine. If you don't like it or agree with what their doing fine...dont go. You'll have a hard time convincing me to stop going...now if they put up an Obama sign I would stop going.
