I have a friend who is working on his car and needs real insight into some issues with his brakes. What are the good forums for asking repair and maintenance questions for BMW? He has a 3 series, maybe 6-7 years old.

Those above...plus e90post.com

Lots of 335i and M3 owners on e90post. Mostly E46 M3's and E92's and E90's.

He probably has an e46 in which case e46fanatics.com is a great resource.

e46fanatics.com

Look under "forums" (obviously), and DIY for "do it yourself". Lots of good info.

Be forewarned - E46Fanatics has a serious reputation for younger members with teenage attitudes on most things. The flaming and ego problems are rife.
