I know, occassionaly I hear people say "I dont have an AR" or "I dont have any guns" and I wonder what the hell they are doing here.

well there are some members who arent even old enough to buy a rifle, other who live in places especially overseas who cant own one

I currently do not have an AR. Had to sell it when money got tight.

because this site is way more than AR15's. I frequent the CA forum to learn of local events and laws, and the 10/22 forum since i have a 10/22 and like to keep up on new products for it such as the evo stock system. I have also learned of the Fab 10 from arfcom which is pretty much my only option to own an AR in California (besides vulcan or single shot guns). I found Arfcom while searching years ago about the legality of have double pistol grips mounted on a 10/22 rifle. So there you have it, thats why i am here.

don't be ashamed of that, lost many a good weapon to pay the bills and feed the family. the best part is some day the kids will move out and get jobs make more money than you. If your lucky they will buy TOYS big enough for you to play with!

That sucks, I have had to sell guns to pay bills, but I will hold on to a couple as long as humanly possible, one of which is my AR. The other is my first gun, a S&W revolver. I feel for ya!

I really don't. I have a subscription to SOF and I go to lots of gun shows, but I don't actually own any firearms.

ARFCOM has a good General Discussion section and I like my state's HT because there is a lot of discussion about the issues of Illinoisians.

I got my first gun on 12/27/04, a Ruger 10/22 (an absolutely beautiful 40th anniversary edition.) I had some questions that a friend couldn't answer, but he found the answer here on the boards and sent me a link.

Have been here ever since, and 3 months l built my first AR!

Because this site is actually a great place to learn about firearms and prevents one from believing the gross distortions towards guns/gunowners by the mass media and hollywood.

Also, many members are too young to buy guns or may live in countries where they could not purchase guns.

As of right now I do not own an AR. I did own one awhile back but had to take it back cause in fact is was NOT a pre-ban as I was told and paid for. I want another one really bad and just saving my lunch money for a RRA. :D And I come here now cause this place is fun. :D

But I do own an old ass Marlin .22, Mossberg 500 shotty and a S&W SW99 in the .40 flavor.

No AR15...but then I'm Cali.

Would like to buy a FAB or Vulcan lower in the next year, but I'll be heading back to school next semester full time so I'm probably going to be low on money.

ETA: Perosnally I'm more hear for GD anyway.
