One of those forced sequels that by the time it was released it was pretty laughable by current event standards at the time.(Tensions with the Russians were at the lowest they had ever been. )

For pure unbelievable cheeseball factor look up Rambo III sniper scene.

Fun fact - The 1990 Guinness book of records gave the title of most violent film ever made to Rambo III. 221 acts of violence, at least 70 explosions, and over 108 characters killed on-screen

I love the Rambo movies. The anti gun actor I don't care for.

Yay!

A draft dodging, gun grabbing POS playing a "he was the best" soldier who is a nutcase.  Making millions doing something he refused to do it real life.

Making millions more using all the gunplay in movies but publicly stating he would go door to door to collect all our guns if he could.

Piss on that POS.

First Blood was okay. However, with a real actor playing the lead, it could have been a classic.

The book was pretty cool; much darker than the movie.

also, two moments from the Missing in Action series....number three iirc....

when chuck is tied upside down and has a rat placed in a burlap sack and tied around his head, he bites the fucker to death.

....and, in the final boss fight, where he jams his spear hand into the bad dudes belly, then grips and rips his insides.....

Scott Glenn could have done a better job, IMO. I can picture him saying "Don't push it, or I'll give you a war you won't believe" without it sounding corny.

Also, if told to picture a "former Special Forces guy" in my head... I'd picture someone looking more like him than Sly Stallone.

Have you seen him in the original Man on Fire?

I think Stallone did do a good job, though.

I didn't think "Man on Fire" was that good a movie, but I thought he was good in it. He was also good in "Wild Geese 2", which also wasn't particularly memorable.

I thought he was great in "Silverado". Heck, I thought he was great in "Urban Cowboy."
