I picked up Ringo's newest book at B&N tonight.  I swear, that guy publishes something new about every other month.

Anyway, this one is about a former Navy SEAL attending college who witnesses a coed get kidnapped off of campus in the middle of the night.  Naturally, he does something about it, which results in a ton of shooting withing the first 30 pages, followed by plot twists, etc.

This book is like the ultimate ARFCOM fantasy - a guy who walks around prepared for anything gets the chance to kill some tangos at a moments notice.

Sort of far-fetched, but very entertaining.  The SEAL is only marginally a good guy, kind of a "we sure are glad he's on our side" type.  A big step away from your typical cardboard cutout hero.

I strongly recommend this one.
