The availability of illegal weapons, handguns and even coveted rifles is incredible. At a local flea market, the right words, a nod and a wink, take you behind the scenes to fugazzy gunshop. Lots of Taurus', Rossi's, few S&W's, Saturday night specials a la Destroyit, MI. No NIB here, some look like they have been thru prolonged battles and neglect.
.38 special, .357 will go for about $300US, and lots of .22's, .32's, .380's. Here is what is amazing, AK's, AR's, Shotguns are available. On guy quoted me for an AR15 $40,000 Brazilian which at today's exchange rate would be about $18,000US Shotguns were quoted at about $10,000 Brazilian which is about $4500US |

Ask around and see if anyone has Madsen LMG magazines - the single-stack 25-rounders.
I know the Brazilians used them at some point, and I really need some. |

However, earlier models of the Madsen used single-stack mags (both 25-round and 40-round, I think) - and they are NOT interchangeable. I need some of those for my older Madsen. |

Was joking, I dated a girl in Sao Paolo. The surfing is really what I'm curious about. The Brazilians have become pretty competitive lately. http://www.surfing-waves.com/data/datastorage/images/2/4/e/24eca9f4c7881f4360df16f58defeed0.jpg View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

The only guns I saw in Brazil were beat up and rough. Looked like they had been buried in the forest for a year or two.. Would have been sketchy to shoot for sure..

I'm on a couple Brazilian Forums and have a good buddy that a MDPD Sgt that is Brazilian. He family runs an import/export business to ship goods to Brazil. Went with him back in High School to Brazil on a job. Even then, guns were easy to get if expensive. Everyone was armed and the law wasn't enforced.
Brazil has a pretty strong gun culture. |

The older Madsen I have is in 7mm Mauser. I am assuming it was used in Brazil (based on what a Madsen expert told me), but I could be mistaken. |

I have been in many places around the World with "strict gun control laws" which is code for; guns are easy to get IF you have the money or are connected in some way.
I remember seeing brand new, in the grease wrapper, Chinese Tokarev knock-offs in South Asia selling for US$40 (specifically, they wanted TWO $20 bills) which included one full magazine of 9mm FMJ. I though that was a pretty good deal (no, I didn't buy one). The ONLY people gun control laws "control" are poor and honest. Look at Chicago, look at NFA items, look at Obama & Hilary's SS protection detail. |

Found a possible match from an auction in 2014. You are a tough guy to shop for. Your wife must hate Christmas. Best she can do is get you some underwear screen printed with Madsens on them, and then you'll point out that curvature of the mag is all wrong. |
