Heard this from a reliable source....

Yes we use the AUG, but it is not capable of fulfilling some special mission requirements, so an unknown quantity have been bought in the L228XXX serial range.

The retracting butt appears to be plastic, and a metal round one piece handguard is used. The last M4 butt types I saw were alloy with a rubber type coating. I take this zytel or whatever is state of the art.

Different from some other M4s I have seen in the past.

Yes and although this buy is common knowledge, first rumours were they were to be Colts, but due to Colt apparently having an unstable future, they were passed over (so I was told).

Any input would be appreciated from the 'gurus'out there.
