Greetings!

The August 2001 issue of CRUFFLER.COM  ( http://www.cruffler.com ) is
out
and available for your reading pleasure!

We've added a couple of features that you might find useful and
interesting.

To begin with, we've added an online muzzle energy calculator, which you
can reach by clicking on the Online Muzzle Energy Calculator link in the
Departments section of the CRUFFLER.COM home page, or by going directly
to:

http://www.cruffler.com/BallisticCalculators/BallisticCalculator.shtml

Also, CRUFFLER.COM is searching for a new look.  More precisely we're
searching for a new insignia that represents crufflers and cruffling in
all their glory.  We'll be posting all submissions on
http://www.cruffler.com/crest.html until mid-December 2001, when one
will be chosen by popular vote.   The winning emblem will appear on
CRUFFLER.COM and associated paraphenalia, and the designer of the
winning submission will receive fame, recognition, the attentions of
beautiful women and handsome men (depending on sex and preference!) and
one of the same long-sleeve denim shirts that CRUFFLER.COM staffers will
be wearing to the SHOT Show in 2002.  Or at least the shirt. To submit a
design for consideration, email us an image of the crest, preferably at
a minimum resolution of 800x600 pixels to [email protected].
Make sure to include your name, email address, and phone number.  The
winner will be notified by email.  You can see the current submissions
at http://www.cruffler.com/crest.html

And now for the usual gobbledygook:

CRUFFLER.COM continues to accept submissions for the following monthly
articles:

Short Fiction
Historical Firearm of the Month
Legal Issues
Book Review
Firearms Technical Trivia

All submissions remain property the author, but may be edited for
grammar, spelling or content. Full attribution will be given to the
author.

CRUFFLER.COM also continues to take orders for used USGI 30-round M16
magazines - See our M16 Mags page for details.

And now for this month's issue:

*The Smith & Wesson .38/44 Heavy Duty Revolver

*Hello, I'm from the UN and I'm Here to Help! (with your gun problem. .)

*The Great Smith & Wesson Trademark Infringement Suit

*CRUFFLER.COM reviews AR-15 Style Rifles from Rock River Arms

*A Review of "The P.38 Automatic Pistol:  The First 50 Years" by Gene

*CRUFFLER.COM reviews Fulton Armory's .30 Caliber Muzzle Gauges

*Short Fiction: "Tales from the Neighborhood:  Billy-Clyde Gupta Gets
His Way"  by Ben Sansing

We hope that you enjoy this issue.  As usual, CRUFFLER.COM remains free
of charge to you, the readership!  We stand ready to help you with your
firearms related questions and needs!
