Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Audio-Technica: good or not?

I got a cardioid instrument/vocal microphone (ATR20) from them. I'm sure however good it is is overkill for game communications, but what about vocal recordings for putting into techno mixes, and using instead of the onboard mike on a video camera? Anybody know about this brand?

I almost ended up getting a Shure, which I know is a good brand, but it was $25 instead of $20...

AT makes good mikes . Don't expect studio quality sound from a $25 mike, lol. It should work great for what you're doing.

I do have an AT4033 but they go for about $400.
