there is a candy jar up at work that has an assortment of non chocolate no nut candy.  mostly Jolly it has jolly ranchers and peppermints.  my favorite are the Atomic fireballs.  if you don't know, they are a hot cinnamon jar breaker and man are they good.  we must have got a new tub of them because these are extra hot!

so what is your favorite hard candy?  especially hot cinnamon candy?

I really like SweetTarts, the big ones, not the chewy big ones, the big ones you have to break before you can bite em.
They original ones, they're awesome.

i kind of learned to like those fireballs myself.   my last battalion commander would get them in bulk from the maker.  every training event, he'd be down with the troopies, bucket o' fireballs in hand, passing 'em out to all takers.

I used to eat the large fireballs all the time when I was younger.  They would tear up the inside of my mouth.

I love them Atomic Fireballs too.

Bought some a few months ago. Took them to work. Had one. That was good. Had another. Hmmmm.....that was good too. Had one more. Or one too many. Couldn't taste anything for a week.

If i eat too many atomic fireballs, the skin starts peeling off in my mouth. SO i have to take a break once in a while.

Talk about Pavlov's dog--

just reading about all these hot, sour candies is making my salivary glands work overtime.

Love those fireballs.    I find that they're easier to eat if you break them up.  I use my Leatherman tool to smash them while they're still in the plastic baggie so that the fragments don't go flying all over the place.  Pour the resultant shards into a small foam bowl and instant finger food.

I used to love the candy that came in pouches. Can't remember the name of it, but it was just a big bagful of the fizzy stuff that is in the middle of Zots. Made everyone that ate it foam at the mouth like a rabid dog.

There is a country store in Boone NC that has a room full of barrels of all the old candies that they still make.

Mast General Store... Probably a website somewhere.

M4-AK

edited to say www.maststoreonline.com
They sell the candy on the web and have pictures posted too.

I like good old fashioned Necco wafers.  And Lemonheads or Warheads.  Atomic Fireballs are OK.

Yep- Whatever the acidic flavoring is in Atomic Fireballs, it destroys your tongue.

Guy at work had a bowl, I ate 1 a day for about 2 weeks till I noticed my Tastebuds were actually
dieing and falling off.

They'd be solid white, with no blood flow, and break off if I scraped them with my teeth.

No more fireballs for me, eventhough I love the taste.  I imagine the acid does bad things
to your tooth enamel as well.
