Saw it over the weekend. It's slow and ponderous for the first two hours, where people pretty much rode from one place to another. It was suppose to set the mood and back story for the finale, but it could've shed 30 minutes.

Brad Pitts was good, as was Casey Affleck as Robert Ford, who was creepy and nerdy.

Well, that's disappointing to hear. Granted, the last few years of James' life wasn't exactly filled with action, he was in hiding after all.

I've had a mild fascination with the James Gang since i was a little kid. I grew up in Liberty MO, and lived not far from the Bank where they pulled the first daylight bank robbery. Kearney is 5 miles up the highway, and have been to the farm/museum several times. Supposedly my Great Great Grandparents had the boys stop by their farm on occasion.
