Did you also stay in a Florida Walmart parking lot and make a similar thread?

How's the quality of the Walmart lot lizards compared to the truck stop lot lizards?

Time for that DOT mandated break and you couldn't get to a truck stop?

Can you go get meals or do any sight seeing? How clean are the bathrooms at this location?

If I recall correctly from the other thread, aren't you driving a pickup truck? Are you really just going to hang out in your pickup for the next 36 hours?

ETA: Truck is off, windows down with a nice breeze blowing through. A couple weeks ago in Florida it was 88 when I went to sleep. No AC no fan. I have a small battery powered fan now. |

You should go to the museum over by the airport, I have never seen so many mounts before. The benefactors did a lot of safaris back in the day and others have donated to the collection.

Did you find a nice parking spot with some shade? I got stuck in Tyler for 34 hours parked somewhere with no shade and it was one miserably hot day spent waiting for the sun to go down.
And I'd rather have been parked at your WalMart than what passed for a truckstop there in Tyler, too. Probably would have had better food available. |

Try the chicken expess up towards Lindale. I had no Idea how big their chicken fingers were, I was stuffed like a tick until the next morning, the sweet tea was good to. It was interesting that they did table side service at a lot of the fast food places back there.
