Hmm, Top Secret, I bought my Bushy at Bushmaster in Windham.
 I had just come home on leave from PCS'ing from Hawaii and went to buy the rifle but the price had jumped way up from the previous month. However, they told me not to worry, they would sell it to me at the lower price since I had come all the way home on leave and that I was serving my country.

Thanks for the kind words Phil. I hope you enjoyed the article. The business itself is not really "Top Secret" but getting into the production facilities requires a "Pass" and an escort and photographic equipment is absolutely prohibited. I am fortunate to have received permission and assistance in writing this article and I am looking forward to covering their future projects.

Would have been nice to have touched on the QC issues that Bushmaster has had in the past and what they did to "fix" said problems. Plus, it would have been cool to know why Bushy does not go throught the extra steps that Colt and, now, Bravo Company go through to ensure max quality. I'm a Bushy owner and not trying to flame the article, or Bushy. However, as I've become more educated and versed on the Black Rifle, I've begun to wonder why Bushy does not implement some of the "extra" steps that Colt and Bravo take in their rifle making process (but what do I know?!). Positive write up for Bushmaster, though. |
