Didn't really have much time to read it all since I was at the bank waiting on a friend, but I skimmed through it. Seemed really stupid though.

Link Posted: 3/19/2013 9:05:00 AM EDT
To be fair, they actually showed stats of gun crime DECREASING over the years. At least they weren't lying about that like all the other fuckers.

WTF??

Physics is hard. Do they think ammo is weightless?
Link Posted: 3/19/2013 9:10:01 AM EDT
Lemme guess. Somebody's "research" led them to an airsoft site.
Link Posted: 3/19/2013 9:11:39 AM EDT
Airsoft warriors.

Hmm I hadn't thought of that. But yeah, it does show how ignorant these people are.

Did they find 40 rounders in stock anywhere?

ETA: Maybe they mean a minigun cassette. Don't they hold close to 600?

Link Posted: 3/19/2013 9:14:36 AM EDT
Pretty sad, but you know most who read it will take it as gospel.
Link Posted: 3/19/2013 9:15:32 AM EDT
That would be the heaviest magazine...EVER..seriously...how the hell would you carry the damn thing....600 Round Magazine...make your AR15 into a CREW served weapon....
Link Posted: 3/19/2013 9:19:23 AM EDT
The imbecility of that article (and its author) is only exceeded by those who will believe it.
Link Posted: 3/19/2013 9:19:32 AM EDT
David Gregory must have sold it to them.

The level of ignorance and failure to properly research a story by "journalists" who work for an organization like TIME should be shocking to me but anymore it is not. Back in the day TIME would be embarrassed and a real Editor would have canned someone's ass for such stupidity but today it's the norm with the MSM.

I could make a killing boat load on the EE

Airsoft magazine. They did the same thing in the 1960s when the Nazi Democrat Party wanted to pass the Gun Control Act.

Although they left the main copy of the ad, they claimed it promoted a machine gun sold by mail order for $24.95. They also took ads for cheap, non firing reproductions and portrayed them as mail order guns that could be bought for a few dollars.

It is in Call of Duty. Just use the marathon and lightweight perk and you are like a leaf on the wind.
Link Posted: 3/19/2013 9:35:15 AM EDT
You'd have to be some kind of hoss to do much moving and shooting with a 600 round magazine...

Find comfort in the fact that the only demographic they're reaching is the "people in dentist's offices who don't own smart phones" segment. The print edition of this drivel won't be around long, and they'll never be a major online source.

Not since the mid 1960s they wouldn't. This was not intended to provoke an honest debate.

Those must be the wheelbarrow-shaped magazines I've been hearing about.

Fuckers. Is there contact Info to complain?
Link Posted: 3/19/2013 11:41:50 AM EDT
My first thought was they got it backwards and it was a 25 round magazine for $600.

(Seems about right with the panic.)

The answer to the question on the cover is NO.

74,000 missing guns in two years? What, are they counting F&F?
Link Posted: 3/19/2013 11:49:46 AM EDT
If ever end up with a belt fed .22, I might commission a 600 round belt. Bit it will be a bunch more than $26

30,000 AK rounds for $70.
Why wasn't this deal on Gunbot?

Yeah, but the wheelbarrow attachment for that 600 round mag costs $450!

As much garbage as people hang off their ARs, many wouldn't even notice.
