The Army is testing a robot in Afghanistan that can search caves, can set off mines (Bonzaiiii!-BOOM!) and can have cameras, a 12 gauge and a grenade launcher on it

It looks like the ones most large police departments have used for bomb disposal for the last 20 years.

Except most of the ones the cops use have a arm for picking things up and opening doors.. nearly all also carry a shotgun for shooting off locks and demolishing small devices.

I don't see what the excitement is, the Army has just caught up to civilian law enforcement.
