If it's a Colt it's a copy of an Armalite.

Some early bolt carriers had a narrow slot that requires a narrow hammer. Don't remember when that changed.

All that is required is a narrow hammer, or a newer carrier IF it is a problem.

I have an Armalite AR10 Natioanl Match that is superb.  I HAD a regular Armalite AR10 that was an inaccurate piece of crap that I spent a ton of money and time trying to correct but never got sorted out.

For $200 you would be nuts not to buy it!!!! They (Armalite) charges that for a stripped flattop upper last I looked.

I have an Armalite from the early 2000's that is a Cadillac compared to my other ARs.
That's meant to be a complement...

i've read conflicting reports on pairing armalite uppers/lowers with other manufacturers equipment....

anyone had issues with using an armalite m-15 lower with another brand upper?

I'm not talking Armalite.. just stuff thats for sale on the web. In building I reject alot of uppers because they don't fit tight & a few lowers, so you'd find the fit issue with anything its not an Armalite thing.

It is not an Armalite problem . Some uppers and lowers do not mate well . My experience with Armalite has been great . Besides they sponsored Cola Warrior 5

I have a complete 16" M4 armalite upper I bought over 10 years ago during a thanksgiving special. Love the upper, my only gripe is that it doesn't like wolf or Tula very much.

After a few hundred rounds I start to get stuck cases until I get in there with a chamber brush. Besides that it's accurate and 100% reliable with brass cased ammo.

To the best of my knowledge, armalite has not changed and still makes a good product.

Anderson over Armalite?  Why don't you just pass on this upper and post the contact info if you really think that.

My M-15a2 choked on the weak steel case ammo until it was broke in.  Try storing your rifle with the bolt locked back for a while and see if that helps.

I was simply implying that things have changed, I wasn't saying they're the best.  Most threads are about PSA, Anderson, Colt, or BCM.

I have an Armalite 20" Hbar that's over 20 years old.  I have had exactly one malfunction with it in those 20 years.  I fired a round and the next round failed to load all the way.  I did tap rack bang and cleared it and kept going.  Of course this happened on the clock during a competition.  Don't know what it was but its never happened again.  I would not hesitate to buy an Armalite anything.

I would have last year instead of the MI SS rail if they had rolled them out sooner.

I shot next to a guy at a Thunder Ranch rifle class whose Armailte constantly choked until I dropped a spare Colt BCG in it.  Didn't have time to figure out what the issue was.
