Is this stuff any good or not?

Ammoman has 1,000 for $189 shipped. That's about $.19 per round.

They also have 1,000 rounds of 2004 US Made Lake City .308 for $239. Is it worth the extra money to get the Lake City?

its good stuff Sportsmans guide had a bunch of it 1000 rds for $151.99. NATO 146gr .308 I like it as much as the Aussie stuff but they currently out of stock.  Also check Aim Surplus for SA Battle packs.  980 rounds for 147.99  Equally good stuff.

I just got my SG order in today.  Said it was backordered till 29 MAR, but it's here now ( ordered last Monday).  I got 2 batches, 4-82 and 7-82.  The APR batch looks like the stuff seen in the other website pics, kinda cruddy looking, red sealant.  The JUL stuff has a green sealant, and looks pretty clean.

I get the SA from AIM, $0.17/round shipped to MI.  Best deal for 7.62NATO.  $0.16/round when you order 3 cases or more.  Good ammo, early 80s production lots.  Comes with a really cool steel case.
