Naked-Gunman's rant about drinking cokes really got me thinking, and I do drink too many, usually 3 - 4 a day. I also drink several cups of coffee and at lease a half gallon of water a day, if not more. I have to have some sort of soda with my meals, especially when I eat out. If I drink just water, I feel like I'm really missing something. I've tried substituting tea and juice for cokes, and have been successful for as long as a few weeks, but I always go back. Tell me how to live my life GD!

No you don't. You just THINK you do. It's a habit, break it.
I gave up soda 4 or 5 years ago and dropped 30 pounds.
I allow myself one a month or so now.

Just drink water.  I used to be a Mountain Dew junkie and broke it and have never looked back now I carry 2 water bottles around with me at all times.  Tell me, what exactly are you missing if you don't drink a big glass of High Fructose Corn Syrup and and some synthetic flavorings.

get the individual crystal light lemonade packets and add them to a bottle of water.  Only 10 calories and makes water easier to drink.

I thought juice was just as bad for you as sodas with all of the sugars in it? Tea sucks, I've never liked it. I can handle plain, weak, unsweetened iced tea, but the rest like green tea and other Fufu flavored crap blows.

I guess I'm stuck with water.

I drink brewed tea sweetened with Equal when I'm at home. I drink water at work. Sometimes I get those sugar free lemonade packets to put in my water though.

sodium benzoate should be avoided. with that said I love Sun Drop but I am down to one per day. I sweat my clothes through at least twice a day at work so I drink at least a gallon of water per day. oh and how I love Ale.

What kind of beverages contain sodium benzoate? Is that in most processed drinks?

I was drinking, on average, eight cans of pop a day. I quit cold turkey and started drinking water. It isn't hard to do
