After twenty or so years I decided it was time to kick it like a kid again. Man is this thing alot of fun! I still plan on putting miles on my Litespeed but I could not resist this bike or the price, Thanks Ebay! Just thought I would share. I justified it by saying it was really for my kid.

nice ghetto blaster.

not sure why, but for some reason that's how a friend of mine referred to an old bmx bike he kept around.

No gyro? No pegs?

Anyone remember the movie Rad?

NICE.

Wait where are the pegs? How are you supposed to bring your wife or kid with you?

The threadless headset tells me that it isn't that old school.

My Brother collects Old JMCs, Skyways, etc. Last I checked he had 3-4 JMCs, 2-3 Redlines, PK rippers, SE flight stuff, etc

Midschool bike, about mid 90s or so?

Redline? (gusset on the bottom tube).

<––––- Old school all the way

84 Mongoose Californian
87 GT Pro freestyle tour

If you like that, you'd love this.

I tried one and was immediately re-acquainted with my joy for skid-stops.

Yeah it is not truly old school. It is a 98-ish trek. Not really keeping with the origins but hey, it is fun.

If you like it, and like riding it, it can't be bad.

Sadly I pine for my old high school and college commuting bike, a department-store brand 10 speed. Went through a good number of tires on it, having been ridden every day for years as primary transportation.

Naw, I wasn't gonna road-trip with a bicycle and a two-year-old. My wife would kill me.

Besides, I'm about ready to go overseas again... so buying a bike wouldn't make much sense right now.

Ask me again in about eight months, it'll be a different story.

I still have a Hutch Trickstar in the garage, although it hasnt been touched in over 20 years.
Myabe I will clean the dust off and make it function again.

Damn man dust off that Trickstar.

I have a Floval Flyer(2005) and a Quadangle cruiser that is all new parts in boxes, but I need to buy a pair of 24" graphite tuff wheels to finish it.
