So I'm trying to save some $$ on my water damage remodel because Mercury doesn't pay shit......Demo destroyed all existing plumbing in kitchen except dish washer and couple week old garbage disposal...stub outs are all done professionally and i installed new sink and air gap vent.

Here's the problem: everything is leak free, but when the dishwasher starts to drain it shoots through the vent. Heres the config:

Drain line from dishwasher goes to the larger inlet on the vent

Vent line from the garbage disposal goes to the smaller inlet on the vent

What I fuck up?

Knock out the plug on your disposal where the line goes in.

Not the waste line, the dishwasher line.

Plug was knocked out prior to flood, it worked fine before....

Could mixing up the lines into the vent make a difference?

Confirmed, the plug is out and I switched hoses on vent, still drains to sink..
